In 2006 at the Annual Natural Resources Conservation Service Banquet we were awarded the Golden Shovel Award for 10 consecutive years of shelterbelt plantings. The award states that we planted a total of 21, 287 trees in the last 10 years! What great habitat for the pheasants and deer. Denny is still in the tree planting mode and planted another grove in 2007...much to Jane's dismay.
We have spent many years developing the type of habitat that South Dakota wildlife thrives on. The bird population has exploded because of our awesome habitat. We own over 3800 acres which consists of CRP–numerous food plots—corn and cane fields. As you make your way through our diverse area you will encounter sloughs, tree groves and plum thickets abounding with pheasants and turkeys. Finally traveling west you will encounter rough canyons and deep draws which provide excellent deer, grouse and coyote hunting.
To make your hunting experience complete we have built a lodge. The lodge, with a fireplace and a big screen television, is a great place to relax with fellow hunters.
Your hunt includes:
Safety for our hunters is our #1 concern. Blaze orange must be worn along with safety glasses. No alcohol will be allowed during the hunt.
We would love to guide you on your hunt and show you what we have to offer. When you reserve a hunt with us, you can be assured that your group alone will have the ENTIRE ranch to hunt. To experience this down home hospitality feel free to contact us by phone 605-842-2977 or email @
